In this section, you will learn how the administration portal differs from the Stay Informed app and how the two systems work together.
While the administration portal is used for organization and administration within the facility, the Stay
Informed app is used to communicate information quickly and easily to parents and employees.
➜ The administration portal
The administration portal is designed for managers in daycare centers, schools, school childcare and nursing and care facilities. It facilitates the management of appointments, attendance and the secure sharing of important documents and enables fast, data protection-compliant communication - all digitally and clearly in one place.
➜ Web-based & flexible to use
The administration portal is web-based and requires no installation. You can easily access it via your browser by opening admin.stayinformed.de and logging in with your access data.
➜ Recommended use
The administration portal can be used on any device - be it a laptop, tablet or smartphone.
For an optimal display, we recommend using it on a laptop or tablet, as some functions, such as the management of groups or calendar views, are displayed more clearly on a larger screen.
➜The app
The app is aimed at parents, relatives and team members. Parents can report absences and send feedback directly via the app. Push messages and secure document exchange ensure clear and secure communication - so everyone is always up to date.
Available in the App Store (for iOS devices) and in the Google Play Store (for Android devices)
The Stay Informed app is available for iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded directly from the official app stores. In order for users to gain access to the correct facility, it is necessary to enter the
facility ID.

➜ When do you use what?
An employee (authorized administrator) uses both the administration portal and the Stay Informed app - depending on which tasks need to be completed. To illustrate this better, let's take a look at a specific example:
👩💻 Lisa S. - Educator & authorized administrator
Lisa works in a daycare center and is registered as an editor in the administration portal. She uses both the administration portal and the Stay Informed app, but with different focuses.
➜ When does Lisa use the administration portal?
✔️ In the morning on your laptop or tablet:
- Lisa logs in at admin.stayinformed.de with her access data.
- She checks the children's daily attendance list.
- She sends a message to the parents of the preschool children to remind them of the upcoming parents' evening.
✔️ In the office after the team meeting:
- She adds a new important piece of information to the noticeboard so that all parents can see it.
- She checks the children's current pick-up times for the day.
➜ When does Lisa use the Stay Informed app?
✔️ Out and about in the facility, on the playground or in the group room.- She starts her time recording directly in the app as soon as she starts work.
