➜ Create children
First of all, you need to create the groups for your facility in the administration portal and then add all the children. This enables structured administration, targeted communication and the correct assignment of children to their childcare groups. Only if groups are correctly set up can parents and staff receive the relevant information.
➜ Where can I find the children
Navigate to the Children menu item in the left-hand menu bar to create all the children to be cared for in your institution. There are two ways to add children: manually or via CSV import.
➜ Add children manually
- Click on the blue "Plus" symbol at the top left.
- Enter your name, surname and date of birth (day.month.year).
- Optional
- pick-up times
- lunch.
- Select group(s)
- Click "Save"
➜ Import children
Children cannot be imported into upper level groups. If you use sub- groups, make sure that these are entered correctly in the CSV file. You need a file in CSV format for this.
➜ Here you can download a CSV file we have prepared and fill it with your content: Download CSV file
➜ Create your own CSV file
- Create a CSV file with Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program.
- Do not use headings! The columns must be arranged exactly as shown:
Column: Surname
Column: First name
Column: Group name (must exactly match the name in the administration portal!)
Column: Date of birth (DD.MM.YYYY)
Example:
Sample man |
Max |
Children's group1 |
01.01.2022 |
Sample man |
Erika |
Children's group2 |
12.10.2023 |
- As a precaution, delete all subsequent columns, as invisible characters can prevent uploading.
- Save the file as a CSV file by selecting "Save as" and choosing the "CSV" format.
- Important: Do not use umlauts or numbers in the file name.
➜ Import children into the administration portal
- Open the "Children" menu item.
- Click on "Import CSV" at the top left.
- Select the created CSV file and confirm with "Open".
- Click on "OK" to complete the import.
- If an error occurs, check the file for correct formatting and group names.
